Our Story

Following the release of her powerful testimony, "Diamonds in the Rain: A Single Mother's Journey," Evangelist Lisa Marie Lomelin founded Diamonds in the Rain Ministries. With this non-profit organization, Lisa’s mission is to create a community of hope, showing that, despite life’s trials and tribulations, there is always a diamond to be found in the rain.

For ten years, Lisa battled alcoholism and sought the approval of the world. She grew up in the church and, even as a child, was used by God to minister to others. But by the age of nine, she began to drift away from her faith. Throughout her adult life, the enemy convinced her that she was worthless. But God—The Great I AM—never forgot her. He pursued her relentlessly, and in the depths of despair, Lisa re-dedicated her life to Jesus Christ while in a jail cell.

In 2023, God opened the door for Lisa to share her story through Project I Am, revealing to her the truth of who she really is: a diamond in God’s eyes. Now, Lisa passionately proclaims this truth to women everywhere, encouraging them to rise up and embrace their true identity as daughters of God.

Proverbs 3:15 reminds us that “She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.” This verse is the cornerstone of Diamonds in the Rain Ministries—helping women see that no matter their past, their true value is found in Christ.
